b'MESSAGEFrom The PresidentO n behalf of the Board of Directors, Clinical Advisors, and Staff, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the donors, volunteers, and partners who continue to support our mission. In 2020, our mission became more important than ever, as social distancing, economic impact, and environmental distress created feelings of anxiety, loss, loneliness, and despair for many people. We journeyed through times of great uncertainty in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, moving us to reflect on our past, what were doing to adapt to the present, and what the future will look like for our programs and organization. But one thing remained: suicide is preventable, and hope can never be cancelled.Trying times like these remind us that programs supporting the emotional well-being of young people across the country have a profound impact on lifting the hopelessness and anxiety that many of our students are experiencing.Todays reality has us redesigning and broadening the delivery potential of our programs to include virtual options so we can continue serving as many students as possible. We continue to support the anticipated needs that may surface as a result of the pandemic because mental health cannot be put on hold, now or ever. Please help us as we work to foster resilience, generate hope, and save lives so that our young people today will be able to tell their own living stories for years to come.Marisa Giarnella-Porco, LCSW President, Co-Founder and Chief Executive OfficerJordan Porco Foundation 2020 Annual Report 3'
