NASPA is an organization for Student Affairs Administrators and campus partners in Higher Education. • BACCHUS — CO Exhibited and presented on Nine out of Ten Ambassadors and Fresh Check Day at the BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA General Assembly in Denver, CO. The BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA supports collegiate peer educators and advisors by empowering students and student affairs administrators to create campus environments which are healthy and safe. • NECCCD — MA Exhibited at the Northeast College Counseling Center Directors Conference in Springfield, MA to garner new interest in Fresh Check Day. • IPC — FL For the second year in a row, Clinical Board Member Dr. Stephen Rogers, MD and Marisa Giarnella-Porco presented Fresh Check Day data and program information at the National Injury Free Coalition for Kids annual conference in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Presentations & Community Engagement • Question Persuade Refer (QPR) Trainings Locations: Hebron, CT; Old Saybrook, CT; Natick, MA. JPF’s three QPR-certified staff members conducted 8 suicide prevention gatekeeper trainings in 2017, preparing 215 young adults to respond to a person considering suicide. • Mental Health Workshops JPF staff delivered workshops on mental health, coping skills, and the transition to college, including multiple presentations at the East Catholic High School senior retreat and a presentation to parents and their junior and senior students at Guilford High School. • Community Engagement JPF staff provided information and activities at various community events targeting young adult populations, including BBYO’s “Stomp It Out” event and a Mental Health Awareness Walk & Fair held at the Berlin Fairgrounds.
